GSD Students win summer fellowship, awards
Sara Lu, Master of Urban Planning candidate, is one of seven students nationwide to win a highly competitive 2008 Hart Howerton Fellowship. Awarded annually by Hart Howerton, an architecture, landscape architecture, and planning firm with offices in New York and San Francisco, the fellowship offers recipients a paid summer internship within the firm’s design practice combined with three weeks of self-directed travel. Sara will work in Hart Howerton’s San Francisco office this summer and travel to Beijing to study Chinese hotel and resort design. Her focus will be Beijing’s hospitality and lodging industry as it prepares for the 2008 Olympics.
Elie Gamburg, MArch II ’08, was awarded First Place; and Chris Talbott, MArch II ’08, with George Tolosa, MArch II ’08, were awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Evolo Skyscraper Competition.
