Professor Michael Hays co-curates Buckminster Fuller exhibition at the Whitney Museum; Professor Antoine Picon included in Hays’ book on Fuller
Coinciding with the exhibition on Buckminster Fuller,on view June 26, 2008-September 21, 2008 at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, Michael Hays, Eliot Noyes Professor of Architectural Theory, and his co-curator, Dana Miller, have written a book of essays, articles, and photographs titled Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe.
The book includes commentary by Antoine Picon, Professor of the History of Architecture and Technology, who is quoted in the June 9 issue of The New Yorker article. He notes “that the detail with which Fuller’s life was recorded—the Dymaxion Chronofile eventually grew to more than two hundred thousand pages—has had the paradoxical effect of obscuring its significance.”
